What is an Esthetician?

  1. a person who is knowledgeable about the nature and appreciation of beauty, especially in art.
  2. An Esthetician specializes in the beautification of the skin! We are experts in beauty!

Overview

Students in this program will gain big world experience, in a small school environment at The Washington County School of Esthetics. You will train to become an Esthetician, Aesthetician, or Skin Care Specialist.  This part time program is in compliance with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, and prepares students for careers in skin care services.

You will become eligible to take the state board aesthetician licensing examination. Once licensed you may be able to gain employment in upscale salons, beauty salons, in home spas, waxing clinics, day spas, department stores, beauty stores, or be an independent business person. With additional advanced training you may find employment in medical spas, plastic surgery or dermatology clinics.

Instruction in this program includes client consultations; skin analysis; anatomy and physiology of the skin; skin diseases and disorders; aging; facial and body treatments; use of machines; makeup techniques; color analysis; body and facial waxing; and the study of Wisconsin laws, safety and sanitation.

Advanced Instruction classes available for Licensed Estheticians, Cosmetologists, Medical Professionals, or current Students are available! One on one training in your choice of topic is available!  Any Questions? Contact Us

Join the next Class!

Esthetics training Clinic runs Mondays from 9am-4pm and on Fridays from 9am-4pm. It will include one Saturday per month 8am-3pm. This program is 14 Hours per week. (The week once per month that includes the Saturday is 21 hours.)

Esthetics training in the Hybrid learning classroom. Part of the program will run online and then join the practical classroom once the online portal classroom portion is complete at Approx. 229 Hours. Practical Classroom runs Mondays from 9am-4pm and on Fridays from 9am-4pm. It will include one Saturday per month 8am-3pm. This program is 14 Hours per week. (The week once per month that includes the Saturday is 21 hours.)
